Welcome And The Big Question

And we are spirited talking today, Kathy.

We are. We're ready to hit some spirited uh subjects.

Hey, what is the subject today?

You know, I was thinking, why isn't spirit more obvious? People will ask us that. You know, they'll say, you know, if spirit is there, if spirit is real, why isn't it just obvious?

And it's just, it's that's such a that's a question that's pondering history, basically, right?

SPEAKER_02 0:51

Well, it's such an it's it's such a a one-line question, but yet it's got many facets to the answer.

Right.

SPEAKER_02 0:57

It's not, and people just they they want the simple answer to make it.

SPEAKER_01 1:00

So like it like it's a yes and no type answer. And it's not.

SPEAKER_02 1:04

Okay, is spirit real? Yes. There. I've uh there's your answer if you want the short answer.

SPEAKER_01 1:09

So but but it's and you're just you're not seeing them or hearing them, but yet you are. That's the whole thing, like you said. It's just it's so many different dimensions, and I mean that literally and figuratively, that uh that's the answer.

That that is the answer, but we're I want to break it down because you know, there's like I said, there's many facets to it. And spirit is real. Like I said, I you know, we know we know, God knows we know that spirit is real.

Right, and heaven is real and all of it.

But there's so many reasons why spirit contacts us in so many different ways. And it's also depending on what we're ready to perceive.

Right. And you've got to look at it at the as like the base part of what life is, and that is we are here in this physical world to learn.

Why Spirit Is Not Obvious

SPEAKER_01 1:58

It's a classroom, and we are here to, in a sense, to live with spirit, right, because they are the unseen force uh in the most part that's actually helping every single person every day of their lives. But also to live life. Living this life not knowing, in a sense, what's happening behind the scenes.

SPEAKER_02 2:21

And and that would be, you know, we come across so many people that they they would want to l live life you know with with spirit, and then they wouldn't go on with their own life. They would they would kind of want to uh you know, yeah.

SPEAKER_01 2:37

I know what you're saying. No, you know what I'm saying. It's because all of that. You know what? That's what a lot of religions do too, because people get delve into so be so instead of using religion just necessarily as a tool, you know, to connect closer to God, to help oneself to to be higher in spirit, uh, you know, to help others, where they'll just delve so deep into any particular religion that's all they're concentrating on. Right. Not living this life, it's just more toward what they need to do for the afterlife.

Right.

And that's why, like again, why, Kathy, all these things are in a sense behind like I said, behind the scenes, if you will.

Yeah.

And that's why, and that's how it's basically set up to be. Because again, if you knew, like if you could actually see the spirits that are walking around, or your loved ones and spirits who are with you every single day. Like you do. You wouldn't everyone be a medium. No, right. Like I do.

We will not have that.

But but the whole thing is I know they're there in presence, I see them, I hear them, and so forth. And then, quote unquote, I'm off duty where I don't pay attention, or I'm concentrating on this physical life as well. Does that make sense?

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense. And connection is meant to be gentle, it's not supposed to overwhelm us in this life because we have a journey of our own.

SPEAKER_01 4:02

Right. It's got to be like a little touches, little taste of that you are there. You are, I mean, the spirits are there and you are loved and you are being helped. But again, it cannot become a distraction.

Right.

And that's why, again, like I said before, this that's why this life is designed like that. Because you the whole purpose of this life is for soul growth.

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01 4:24

And to do that is to love. And love is absolutely the number one thing that makes the soul grow. Right. Whether receiving it, giving it out, it's part of food for the soul.

SPEAKER_02 4:36

It literally builds your soul. That's the goal. There's there's people say, What's it all about?

That's life.

SPEAKER_02 4:44

That's life.

The more you love, the higher in your soul, your spirit, your energy.

That's in its many ways. It's loving yourself, it's loving other people, it's doing kindness, it's positivity. And that's that's what we attain to be. But spirit, when pe some people they just will be headstrong and saying, Well, I want to see grandma standing there. And if she does not stand in there, I'm just not gonna believe it. Right. And yet grandma's leaving scent signs, or she might be leaving noises, or things like that. So so some people are pigeonholed into a certain kind of connection that they want.

You know what? That's what we've you know spend uh a big part of our life helping people to realize is that you have to basically open your eyes, right? Open your ears, open your heart, feel the energy. All the different ways spirits do actually show you that they're there. Right. But again, it cannot necessarily be on the basis of a time limit or one it now, that sort of thing.

No, because uh just like we're good at certain things, when people pass, they're good at certain things too. They're not, you know, they're not gonna be able to do that.

SPEAKER_01 5:52

Oh, you're talking about as far as giving signs, yeah, signs and things like that. Communications and stuff. Oh, yeah, everything's not a good thing.

Life As A Classroom For Love

SPEAKER_02 5:56

And it's what we're good at perceiving. Keep in mind they're good at certain things, but we might be better at hearing the signs and not seeing a visual. Everybody's different on how they're going to perceive communication from spirit.

And that's why spirits will do it in many different ways. And again, another podcast will talk about all the different types of signs and things like that. But this is more toward, you know, besides signs, like I said, if spirits, because we do get that question is why, you know, if my loved one is alive and well, but it's just in spirit, I know they would come and walk in front of me or present themselves. And again, they know always remember that those in spirit, they again, in a sense, have all the answers. They know what lessons they needed to learn, what lessons they did learn, and the continuing lessons that their loved ones here in this physical also need to continue to learn. But they also know that they can't just necessarily show themselves at a snap of a finger, because that might stop that person. It stops the journey. The journey. It stops them from moving on necessarily. Or, you know, it's the that's that's the funny thing. It can be one little slight thing that can change a person's course, right? But they know what that one slight thing can be, right? Or how it might affect a person.

Well, it's like, and I people who have heard us in in in groups and and demonstrations and things like that, I use the analogy of, and I've used this a million times, but when you're letting a child learn to walk, you know.

I've never heard this. What is that, Kathy?

SPEAKER_02 7:35

But you stand on the other end of the room, you know the child is going to stumble, but they've got to develop their legs. They have to develop the muscle. If you don't, if you carry them around everywhere, they're they're not gonna learn to walk. It's not gonna be right. So you let the child come to you, you call that child to you, come on, you can do it, you can do it. And by doing that, and when they do stumble, it'll be fine, but they're building their legs. The same with different signs and things like that, communication with our loved ones in spirit. They're trying different things. They you have a path you have to go down. There's but so much they can they can guide you, push you on. Right. You've got to develop. And a lot of times you is I didn't get a sign, you know, grandma didn't give me a sign. But but maybe that led you into reading some books or going to some demonstrations or or doing things on your own that you're developing that spiritual muscle now and that you'll be it's easier to connect.

Right. Any type of connection, any type of sign, it's meant to be gentle, not overwhelming. Right. You know, because if it's too too overwhelming, then again, that stops the progression of that person's life.

SPEAKER_02 8:41

That that that's actually says it all for our our partnership here. You're gentle and I'm overwhelming.

SPEAKER_01 8:49

That's been our life. Okay. That is true. I don't know what's more to say about that. But the whole thing is that's why, in a sense, any type of connection is subtle.

Right.

SPEAKER_01 9:00

The difference is I'm able to pick up on that subtlety. You know? Right. Everybody has a like say a sixth sense, but it's what you're noticing that counts, basically.

SPEAKER_02 9:11

And some people think that subtle experiences can be uh dismissed as then there's no there's no loved one there. And you can't do that. You've got to s decide that I'm gonna look for signs, I'm gonna listen for signs, which we'll get into another way. But spirit is is really obvious in our lives. We're the ones who kind of miss it. But when they're not obvious, it's for a reason.

SPEAKER_01 9:34

Right. Again, and the you know, through many different readings I give and you know, people or those love those in spirit will start helping people either to recognize the signs they're giving or that they've already received and that person may not have noticed. Right. And then when I bring it up, they say, Oh, yeah, that did happen, and this happened. Well, and say, Well, you know, how where where did you think that came from? And so it a lot of times people say, Oh, that was just a coincidence, or they think that until I give them a confirmation of that's what actually took place from a loved one.

Signs, Senses, And Spirit Blinders

SPEAKER_02 10:07

Well, and that's that's why when you have a gifted medium, it's it's good to because not only use it to for the great connection I can speak for you that you give people, but it also helps them to confirm anything that they're getting.

Right.

SPEAKER_02 10:23

And so it helps them move on in their journey, right? But you also have to be emotionally ready. We're all at different levels of emotion, right?

SPEAKER_01 10:31

That's the that's the key, because again, some people, if they receive some type of communication or sign from a loved one in spirit, again, like you said, they may not be ready for that. And that can, you know, upset them, or the opposite, where they are ready, you know, that that brings joy and a continuation of knowing that their loved ones continue to be with them.

Yeah, it it depends on, you know, in it where you are in the grief process and the healing process.

SPEAKER_01 10:59

And we always say timing is everything. Yeah. Again, because the they know where you are, they know where you're going in a sense, the path you're on, and they also know your loved ones in spirit also know when it is time for them to make those presents greater than other times where it's, you know, yeah, kind of like I said, behind the scenes.

And people do have to go through stages of grief to heal. You do have to heal. You can't, and you can't your loved one might say you would you might brush it off if right after somebody passes, you got something you said that was wishful thinking, it was just a dream. Maybe they, you know, in your state of mind, they they'll wait till you go through some other stages so that you'll be more acceptance and it will help you to develop.

And everybody's different, and that's why I say timing and awareness does actually play a role in their communication. Yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_02 11:51

And a lot of times, you know, we've heard this in the past, and I'm sure you know, people have heard this, that say your your mother dies, but then your best friend got a visitation from her because maybe at that point you weren't ready, but she but somebody who's subjective to this that say, Hey, wait a minute, you know, this is they're not emotionally, it's not going to affect the communication. And they say, Hey, this is the message I got from your mother or whoever. And so that means you weren't ready at that moment. Don't some people might get mad and say, Hey, why did she go to them and not meet?

SPEAKER_01 12:22

They get angry at the loved one in spirit, like, why didn't they come to me?

SPEAKER_02 12:25

But but you were not ready at that moment.

SPEAKER_01 12:27

They were not ready.

SPEAKER_02 12:28

And you do you might have bypassed the communication, and this way you go, hey, wait a minute, she had no reason to tell me this or what whoever, you know, as an example. So they once again, spirit knows when to communicate.

SPEAKER_01 12:41

And again, it's the awareness of that allows that connection to be noticed too. Right. You know what I'm saying? It's it's when you're quiet or when you're open for such a you know, such a connection compared to if you're living your life worrying about everything, and if you're, you know, your job or you know, the family, and just concentrating totally on this physical, that's when it's hard, you kind of shield yourself from that experience.

Well, yeah, and that's a lot to go through. Life is a lot to go through. So when you've got all that happening, as it's meant to be, right?

SPEAKER_01 13:15

But that's when you gotta, again, take the time, relax, and kind of be aware of what's going on. Because again, yes, sometimes you will definitely see a loved one in spirit out of the corner of your eye. That's one of the most common ways, actually. And people say it's not they bypass it, just bypass it, and they just think it's like a like a shadow or just something you know going on and they turn and that loved one disappears. And like we always said, guess what? They're not, they didn't disappear. They're actually still standing there.

Yeah, if more people would stop talking themselves out of the signs that their loved one point.

SPEAKER_01 13:49

That's a real good point. That no matter what type of sign it is, a lot of people will talk themselves out of it.

SPEAKER_02 13:55

So how many readings do you do where you'll give a specific sign that somebody gives, and the person will say, Oh, you know, I knew that happened, but I just thought it was my imagination, or I thought this. And the loved one is saying, No, it was me. And so luckily they have you to confirm it. But other than that, they would have by it would have bypassed it.

Timing, Grief, And Readiness

But then it's also, again, the feeling or the sensation of a loved one in spirit. There's nothing to do with signs, it's just feeling the presence of a loved one. And that's another thing where a lot of people they might sense somebody in the room and all of a sudden they feel, okay, well, is this uh house haunted? Right. Or you know, what what is this? And all of a sudden, that can even turn into like a negative feeling for that person because they're unaware. Uh, guess what? More than likely, that's just your loved one and spirit. Again, how many times, Kathy, does someone say, Oh, I want, I want to know they're here, I want to feel their presence. And when they do, they get they're afraid.

They're afraid because all of a sudden things are knocking and rocking in the house. There's like, oh, there's a ghost in the house. No, it's your loved one in spirit.

SPEAKER_01 14:58

That's another reason why they kind of wait. Because again, what and for you to have an understanding, for people to have an understanding of how they are gonna make themselves known when it when the time and you know, place is right. Right. But the whole point is is that when you have that feeling, oh, I'm scared, I'm afraid, and so forth, that that's why they don't do it. Right. It's because they don't all of a sudden you're gonna fear going in your house or feel like your house is haunted and and things like that, where again, mostly it's just a loved one in spirit.

Mostly. Mostly.

Now, by you saying that.

SPEAKER_02 15:39

Everybody likes to have a little fun. That's right. That's right. Even our loved ones in spirit.

SPEAKER_01 15:43

And it can sometimes even that energy or that presence can be overwhelming for a person. Keep that in mind too. Where all of a sudden it can, it really just depends how the person is going to react to perceive it right. Where will it bring them sorrow? Will it make them, you know, happy? Every individual's different, and that's why every type of connection can be different too, because each is an individual experience.

Yeah, I think people, for the most part, would get feelings and impressions more than a physical sign. They get those all the time. Like you said, it's an energy. If you feel the love, if you feel an impression of somebody standing there, you know, a lot of times people say, Oh, I felt somebody was staring at me. It's a love, they kind of bypass that. They want to put, you know, like that, that's just my imagination. But a spirit, that's that's an easy way for them to connect.

Right.

SPEAKER_02 16:38

And you and you, and if you the more you recognize anything like this, the more it's going to happen.

SPEAKER_01 16:44

Right. And that's the whole thing is again being open for that experience. Because again, when it any type of connection with a loved one in spirit, you can develop it. It can become stronger. And always remember that your loved ones and spirit, they're going to be there no matter what. And that's what you know what that's one of the myths, also, is that oh, I didn't feel anybody. I didn't get a sign, they must not be here. And that's of course that's not the case at all. It's just more than likely you're not noticing it.

And and you're asking, you're you've got the blinders on. Right. You've got the spirit blinders on, and you're looking for one thing, because I know so-and-so would leave me this one sign, you know, and they're leaving ten others, but you're looking for the one thing. And it's not you can't you can't do that. You have to be open. And it's hard. It's hard when people want certain signs because that's what they connect with their loved one in spirit.

Right. And again, what to help you out, but like I say, in a future podcast where we'll talk about all kinds of different signs that uh people need to be open with. Right. Again, that's one that's Kathy, that's one of the interesting things that we've been people have been asking us about as far as, you know, why why isn't that right in front of my face. Why aren't these signs right in front of my face?

And that's and that's a natural thing to want. I mean, everybody wants that, but it takes development.

Learning Spirit Language Through Feelings

SPEAKER_01 18:13

You know what? But it takes development, but it also takes. Well, yes, of course, but the expectation. Watch what the what a person's expectation would be for any type of spirit communication as far as that concern, and then individual experience. Again, a lot of times we'll say, you know, a loved one would like more than anything is to open that door, walk in, sit on the couch right next to you, and say, here I am, I'm alive and well. And but one, they can't do that. Right. And two, that's why there is that quote unquote like veil, and that's why every type of communication for the loved one in spirit is going to be it's subtle.

Right. Well, that's it's like learning a new language, it's like spirit language, and you have feelings, symbols, impressions. They replace words. We're used to words, right, these feelings, symbols, and impressions, and people don't don't, they shouldn't uh discount impressions because that's your strongest thing. When something touches your soul, and then and then you kind of discount it saying that's wishful thinking.

SPEAKER_01 19:24

And you know what? That's really part of how I give readings. Yeah, you know, I'll certainly I'll hear what a loved one has to say, but at the same time, I'm gonna they they intertwine it with feelings, and of course, I've obviously like thoughts or visuals. So when I'm giving a reading, all of this is taking place at one time, and I put it together and give the message out to the but the message I'm just giving words, but with those words come emotions and it comes, you know, visuals that what I'm seeing, feeling, and hearing. Right. And so, but that's how a loved one in spirit will communicate. Right. And that's why it's important, like we're talking one-on-one with each other just like this, and the listening audience is hearing us, right? But like you said, with spirit, it's very subtle. It's not going to be that direct.

No, it and and that's what we have to learn is that the it's the feeling behind everything that really matters. That's what touches our soul, are the feelings. Words can be just words, but when you put feelings behind it, you can say, Hey, I I love you. Or you can say, I love you. I mean, there's different feelings for everything.

I felt that you you you feel that all kinds of feelings combined.

Oh, yeah. I love you too. Anyway, but that to answer the well to continue with your question, why isn't spirit, you know, like I said, why isn't it more obvious? And that's honestly, that's really the reason. It's it's not it's it it becomes more obvious if you know what you're looking for. Right. And like you said, the many ways spirit will communicate.

Uh-huh. Exactly.

And that's why if it's like I say, if you have a certain threshold of what to ex like you're like a high expectation, then more than likely you're gonna be disappointed.

Because you're discounting everything you're not getting that you are getting, but it's not what you want. Once again, spirit blinders are on. Take the spirit blinders off.

Uh that's a good word. Spirit blinders.

There goes the food, too, right? But no, we hope that uh answers some questions about basically, you know, that's honestly that's why it is. Like I say, does like all your love do they love you? Do they care about you? Do they want to do everything you want? Yes, they would love that. But again, being in spirit, the knowledge they have, the understanding of what let what this life is, they know they can give you bits and pieces, a little here, a little there, but the whole point is after you have a few of those and you recognize them, the proof that they do give you that helps you to understand that they love you, they continue to be with you, and they take care of you in the ways that you can never imagine.

Right. And that's that's the work that that we do, that's the work that Spirit does.
