Well, here we are. And we today, you know what, Kathy? I thought we'd discuss a little bit about since you know a lot of people do know who we are, read the books and all that good stuff, heard us on radio and TV. Sometimes it's good to just start with the basics and let people know who we are, what we do, what our thoughts are.

What Happens When We Pass

And when when when you say the basics, also keep in mind that's it's a question as old as time. What happens when we die? What actually happens when we pass? We don't like to use the word die.

No, you know, I was gonna say that because a lot of people, you know, anytime I do a reading or anything, we talk, I never use the word die because basically there is no such thing as dying. No, it's a transition.

So I always say passing or but it's but it's it's a habit, people say.

Yeah, I mean you die, but it's such a to me, it's such a finale of a word. Yeah. And it's quite the opposite, actually. So that's why I never use it or try not to.

That's right. And you know, people ask that because I actually saw some people the other day say on I don't know if it was a podcast or what, they they were talking about that what happens when we die. Nobody knows that. And I go, Are you kidding me? What do you think we spent decades doing?

There's a lot of people who believe and there's people who know. Again, you know, that's the one thing. Do we know everything there is about the afterlife? Absolutely not, because we can only comprehend what we can comprehend because then the other side, the next step, the passing through the veil, it goes even beyond our imagination or again our comprehension of what we can experience in our in this physical.

Right, exactly. And also everybody has their own individual experiences.

Yes.

We've had we've shared those individual experiences with thousands of people, thousands of readings. So that's why we take the step of explaining our experience to people through those experiences we've had with other people.

Is Heaven Far Or Close

SPEAKER_00 2:40

Yes, right, exactly. And the one thing, I guess one of the biggest things people want to know is basically where heaven is. You know, what happens exactly when you pass in the spirit. And through the many, many, like I say, countless readings, a lot of people always tend to believe that their loved ones, again, are when you pass and they believe in an afterlife, and the the loved one goes to heaven, that you know, that's such a far distance away. And I always say, like I say, it's actually heaven is one step away from us. Your loved ones actually take one step and they're in heaven, because again, we're a part of heaven's heaven is actually surrounding us.

And I think that would be a a really comfort to people because it just like you know, we used to do when we were little, you look up in the sky and you talk to your loved ones in heaven, and you think they're floating on clouds, that the angels are all about. No, they're here with us. We're surrounded, and and it wouldn't be much of heaven if they weren't still involved in our life. Because just like you know, if we talk to somebody whose mother is past, and they say, Well, you know, does she think of me? Does she do this? Well, yeah, she wouldn't. Her mother's love, the mother's love doesn't go just because she's passed in the heaven and she's having the time of her life. Her heaven is taking still care of you, right?

You don't become a different person, you become obviously the the differences being in spirit, you know, you're free of any kind of physical ailment and challenges you may have had.

And you learn from your experiences here on earth.

Right, and to describe what it actually feels like to be a spirit, that's uh that's always a a stumper for a spirit to communicate that to us because again, this it's something we've never experienced. And it's but it's undescribable how wonderful it is. Wonderful it is.

It's it's really it's kind of funny that we try so hard to we take care of this body, which we should, our earthly body. Of course, because it it it gets us through this vessel.

Right, our physical vessel in this physical life.

What Spirit Feels Like

But s after it's when you pass into spirit, it it's numerous times they say, Thank goodness I got rid of that heavy thing. It's like an armor. To us, it's not heavy, but once you pass into spirit, you say that it's like an old over you used to say, Patrick, it's like an old overcoat, and you just throw it away, and and then you feel so much lighter without it.

And so with that, you that's pretty much what you experience the moment you pass. You know, the th probably the one of the first things you notice is the feeling, of course. And of course, the moment also is the surrounded by love, the energy of love.

Unconditional love, right?

And then, of course, people always want to know well, who meets you when you're in spirit? Do they a lot of people say, do they do they see their other loved ones in spirit? Or again, it's a have they I hear this a lot. Have they found each other? Right. So that's the thing. There's no finding for a loved one in spirit because they've they've always been with you. And so there's no finding. The moment you transition into spirit, guess what? They're standing right there. And again, it's not obviously every individual's different, so it can be, you know, one person, it can be many, many people. It depends on your grouping of your loved ones in spirit and you know your experience of that next step.

Right. And a lot of times passing into spirit, people will say, I see this relative that has passed on, and things like that. So they see a before they even pass, they see that their loved ones are right there with them.

Who Meets You In Spirit

Near-Death Versus Full Crossing

SPEAKER_00 6:09

A lot of people, oh, right, because they are helping them through that transition. Right. But one of the things I wrote in the first book, I believe, if I remember correctly, Never Say Goodbye, is that a lot of people who've had the what is it, afterlife experiences? Was that near death, right? And they come back, they always, or not always, but some of them talk about the walking through a tunnel of light. Right. And in my experiences, and says, you know, I like to say countless readings, I've never had anyone tell me that. Like they, you know, went through a tunnel of light and then they made it to heaven. Right. And my conclusion to that is, and I've pretty much got it confirmed by those in spirit, is that tunnel is actually uh still the connection of the spirit connected to the physical body. Exactly. And that's why a person who comes back to their body has that vision or that experience because they're not going to stay in spirit.

Right. They're not passing permanently into the spirit, they're they're still connected. And so, yeah, and that's and we're and that's if you'll notice that near-death experiences are different from people that have actually gone and done the full passing into spirit. So that's not discounting what they're seeing, right? Because they do see love and they and they see beams of light, but that is what they're conceptualizing as their loved ones in spirit. People are you have a you have a body, you have a right, right?

Life Review And Emotion

You have a body. That's another thing. Again, we can get we'll get into that in a minute, but yeah, you do definitely have a you have a physical body in spirit, you know, because in spirit that's a physical place. Heaven is a physical place, just a different realm, if you will.

Right. But that's a that's a perfect way that you put it in the that the spirits have confirmed to you. Right. Is that it's a still a connection because they're coming back.

Because, and that's the thing, the message they receive from their loved one in spirit is it's not your time.

And so that's why they do come back.

And then also you have the life review. Once you do pat once you do pass into spirit, you have a life review. And what that means is you not only see, we used to hear that you know, you see everything you've done. The more important thing is you feel everything you've done. And the reason for that is a life experience review is not to punish anybody, it's because you're here to learn. So it's like, okay, now we're gonna grade you. This is what you did. And you not only see and feel the bad things you might have done, but the great things you might have done.

The great thing, right? Because that's the that's in a sense you gotta realize that's living in this physical world is the same thing. The physical part here that we experience kind of it's it's in front of us, it's like the first thing, but it's actually need it's actually the thing that should take the back seat because we live in this life, the physical in this life, because everything is actually tied to an emotion. Everything we do in this life, the first thing is the emotion, and then the physical part comes. And people don't realize that. You know, you always want to, let's say, go out and do something fun, you want to watch something to be entertained, you want to be with somebody because you enjoy them. Everything's always tied into an emotion. So in spirit, you realize the emotion part is actually the important part of life.

It's the r it's really the concrete thing.

Right.

We think of it as an a theoryal thing. It's it's like not real. An emotion is just, you know, in the air, and that's really what makes us is our emotions and the love of our.

We are who we are because of how we feel.

Right.

SPEAKER_00 9:43

And how you make other people feel. And like you said, in spirit, the moment you are there, you see the physical part, but you also feel what you the cause and effect of your life, basically.

Right. And and you'll hopefully see that you've progressed during life and that you've grown from being the way you were when you were 16 compared to the way you are when you're 60. Right. Is you know, it's and that's the purpose. You should have grown. And you'll see and and so that's that's part of the growing process of coming here to do all that. But when you leave and you have that life review, it's with love to show you that look how much you have grown, look what you did for people, you know. Hopefully it's more in the balance of positive.

Pets, Presence, And Communication

Okay, right. You've got to you've got to weigh out the balance of the good and the bad. But again, as you're growing up and you know, and not that just talking physically growing up, it's mentally too, that you do learn from your mistakes. And yeah, you may have done something bad, or you may have a bad day, or you may have yelled at somebody, whatever. But if you, you know, kind of learn from that and continue to grow from that, that's what life is all about. But the funny thing is, okay, also, Kathy, is people always say, and it's again a common question like, will I see blank when I pass? You know, will I see my mom? Will I see my dad? Uh, but also, you know, do you see do you see them? Yes. Believe it or not, you see more people than you realize that you've ever known, actually, eventually, of course, not all at once. Right. Uh eventually.

Well, sometimes there is a crap. I was about to say, maybe it's a heck of a party.

And a party it is.

But but it'll be people that you recognize that you didn't think you know here, but on in spirit you do know them.

And sometimes I hear when people they'll say, you know, you'll meet relatives you never knew you had. Right.

SPEAKER_01 11:28

That's exactly right. And because you do have people that and actually you kind of get an inkling of that when you're here. If it like for my grandmother that I did, she'd pass long before I was born. But I always was it was important to me that you know, did when I would cook things, I'd ask my mom, I'd say, Do you think she'd be proud of me? It was really important. And then to come find out she was with us, she was with me. Right.

You usually you would feel her, you know.

SPEAKER_01 11:53

And I would say, This is I hope this is important to her that I did this right. And so people, I think, during a lifetime will get an inkling of who on the other side is is their special spirit.

Right, right. And again, that's also including your loving pets. Of course.

SPEAKER_01 12:10

Oh my gosh, that's you talk about unconditional love.

SPEAKER_00 12:13

Right. People, you know, though that's for sure, because that's you know, that's just pure love from a pet. They always say and energy energy's uh energy. Animal spirits, they're energies, but the spirits, the animals are the at a higher vibration. They are.

SPEAKER_01 12:28

They get let me tell you something, people. They get into heaven, they get into heaven long before we do. There's no ifs, ands, or buts. They just get there. Well, they're just nothing but pure love and a lot of times pure mess.

People also will ask, um lots of stories there. Lots of stories. But do you know what that's one of the common things like people who when I do connect with a pet, people no, that's another thing. People say, you know, are am I able to do that? Yeah, people can again I can connect to a pet. Do they come and speak English to me? No. But what they do, can they? Maybe, but they don't usually they they show me visuals, uh, or they'll give me feelings of what they felt at a certain time. So again, it's how they live their lives, just like here, but they obviously they don't speak here, but they have emotions, they have thoughts, they have feelings, and that's their experiences, and that's how they can, in a sense, verbalize it.

And more than likely, when you connect with pets, they're still with you. They when they pass over to the other side, they don't just run in a field of flowers waiting for you to get there. They're still with you.

Are They With Us All The Time

SPEAKER_00 13:33

And you know what? That's that's a good thing. Well, a good point, Kathy, is that a lot of people say, Well, are my loved ones in spirit with me all the time? It really depends on the relationship and what's going on in your life. Usually a spouse, especially if you had a really strong connecting with connection with a spouse and they're in spirit, they will be with you pretty much all the time. And speaking of time, you say, Well, then that do they have time to do things? Yes. Believe it or not, they can make time to do all the things they want to do and need to do in the spirit world, but they tend to really stay with you because they want to love you, guide you, and take care of you. But then you have other people like parents and things like that that may visit on a day, well, usually on a daily occasion, checking in on you and grandparents every now and then so forth. It's dependent like I say, it just depends on the relationship of that you that with that person you've had, right? How often they will be there. But don't ever feel guilty like you're keeping them from doing something, because always remember they're going to do what they want to do. Okay, and as you mentioned, Kathy, love. That's why they want to do it, because we again they're remember this to you, the listening audience here, your loved ones in spirit may be a slight, oh, I feel somebody here, or you may see them out of the corner of your eye, that sort of thing, so you know that they're with you. But their perspective is they see you perfectly, they can hug you, they feel you, they sit there, they can watch TV with you, they eat with you, all these different things. Their perspective is that they're the same as what they've had before, actually.

Letting Go Versus Moving Forward

Right. Well, it's even more enhanced because they can be with you more, they they understand what you're thinking about now and they see all points of view. But you touched on something very important. It's that so many times people will come to us and say, you know what, they told me I need to let go. Oh, you just touched on you just touched upon that for just a brief second. I don't know if you want to talk about it now or later longer, but nothing makes me more angry.

I was just gonna say that's what we're than telling people you have to let go. You're turning red now, I see.

SPEAKER_01 15:43

You don't have to let go of them. You don't have to move on. It's like you're keeping them from heaven. How dare you guilt trip somebody saying you're keeping that's a big statement. How dare you tell people you're keeping them from heaven? That that really can mess up people. We've had so many people come to us and tell us that. Oh, and we've cleared it up right away saying, you know, talk to your loved one and ask them, and they'll tell you no, you're my heaven.

Because uh, we always say, put it in perspective, say the opposite, opposite what's going on, and you're the one in spirit, and you have a loved one here. What would you want to be doing? That is, you'd want to be with them, you'd want to take care of them, make sure they're safe, sound, and felt your love, and you know, guide them through their life. That's what most people would want to do. And so that's why when you so I say, Oh, they got to move on. I always say, move, move on. Well, there's no moving on.

They're already there. That's yeah, there's no moving on.

People ask if there's like an adjustment period when you pass. No, it's not. It's when you pass, it's it's it's the same thing as if you were to wake up in the morning, you take it, you know, you your eyes open, you you know, you can be in a dream and all this stuff, and uh, you know, living that reality of that dream, but then you wake up, right? And then you're in reality. That's exactly what it is like in spirit. You in a sense, wake up and you're there, you are fully aware of what's taking place, what's going on. Like I said, uh you can have a long lifespan and that review, but in real time, quote unquote, you know, that takes a split second to actually experience. Right, man. And so that's why there's no adjustment period in a sense.

There's not. But but the other the other side to what we're talking about as far as guilt tripping people, what's that? Is also you have to continue to you live your life here. You have to move on forward with knowing that your loved ones and spirit are here and move forward because that's what they want you to do. But what do you mean?

How does that compare to what do you mean by that and guilt tripping?

SPEAKER_01 17:44

Guilt tripping telling people you're you're not allowing your loved one in heaven to move on.

SPEAKER_00 17:48

Right.

SPEAKER_01 17:49

Okay, well then then you the other side to that is knowing that your loved ones are with you.

SPEAKER_00 17:54

Right, that's because people will tell you the coin basically.

Do People Change In Spirit

SPEAKER_01 17:57

Yes, because people will tell you you're you're keeping them from heaven and you're not living your life.

SPEAKER_00 18:01

Right, now right, yeah. The opposite is you got to continue to live your life and move forward compared to you know just sitting on a couch, not going out, just not living, not speaking to anyone, just existing.

And and and re just remembering old memories and and living into that, you have to live your life knowing they are with you and making the new memories.

Right, because life is for moving forward. You gotta constantly move forward because again, not only is that for you, that actually helps your loved one in spirit because they like I say always say they are they're kind of 10 steps ahead of you, and they know that's how they help guide you and which direction to guide you in. But you've you get you're the one who has to take the legwork, you gotta push forward. They help you with that by giving you thoughts, ideas, and feelings, but it's up to you to continue to move forward. So as you're moving forward, that's the thing, you're not moving forward separately, you're moving forward together, right?

And that's we have so many people when we do when you do the readings and things like that is saying thank you because I can now move forward, knowing they're with me, but I can live life. And that's exactly what your loved ones want you to do. You make their job easier when you do that.

Absolutely, because again, you're moving, you're the partnership is still there, the relationship is still there, whatever that loved one in spirit was and is to you, it remains the same.

Right. And that's that's not that's not saying that people need to get a new spouse or forget about a child that has passed. That's okay if you do. That's wonderful if that's because sometimes you need companionship or you might find another love. But that but your your love one will always be with you. You're it say it's a child. Don't feel guilty about moving forward in life because you're actually, like we're saying, helping people.

Right. Yeah. The key is there's like say now when you brought up the subject, like, you know, oh well, if my husband or wife is still with me in spirit, that will they, you know, is it okay if I want to start, you know, looking for someone else and having another relationship? Obviously, it's okay because the most important thing in this life is to love and to give love and to receive love. That's what life is about, basically.

Yeah, that's exactly right.

SPEAKER_00 20:11

So, no, they do not get jealous, they do not, they encourage it, they will even help you to find someone. But then there are those who, you know what? I had my true love and I know I still have my true love. He's with or she is with me in spirit. So I'm fine with that and content. And guess what? Your love in the spirit is fine with that too. It's whatever you want and what's ever going to fulfill your soul.

Exactly. Because they're they want you to continue this this life to learn and help others learn.

Kathy, people also want to know. We get a lot of do people change in spirit?

SPEAKER_01 20:46

Do they change in spirit? They do in the fact, Patrick, that once again we talked about the life review. You see and feel things that you've caused, and that's the whole purpose of being here is to you're not the same person at 16 that you are in 60. You know, the I love the saying the youth is wasted on the youth. So if you knew what you were here at 60, and when you were 16, boy, that would be great. But you don't, and it's the same when you go into spirit. It's like you're being, you know, you're you're you're more mature. You know, you've been through you've been through so many scenarios of of what can change you. And it change in a good way because you're gonna you're gonna see people's points of view. Uh you might have been very argumentative with you when you were here, and when once you're in your spirit, you go, you know what, uh now I see their point of view. You feel things that other people feel.

SPEAKER_00 21:35

Right. You get to see their perspective. And also it depends on, you know, when we talk about do they a person change, like I say, if there's anything physically or mentally wrong, that's all quote unquote pure, you know, you because it that doesn't exist in spirit. So yeah, that person can be changed in that sense, whether if they were, you know, some type of addict or they were mean for some reason, or you know, how they were abused. Maybe all these different things, you know, can make a person's, you know, their personality change it for the better or for the worse. But in spirit, you know, all that has gone as far as the negative part of that.

Right. And how many readings have you done where people have said you want to talk to so and so? No, I really don't. Right, right. And but you know what? And they get but then they go, okay, and they and then we find out that the healing can begin because that person has changed. Right. That person has dropped off, whether it's drugs, alcohol, the way they were raised. There's many reasons people react to the way they were.

And he, I think if I'm I'm going by memory now, but I think he pretty much left the family when he was like when she was about 10 to 12, I think. And he went on, but but he the thing is we found to come to find out, you know, he was a drug addict. And he the the the interesting thing was he wanted to remove himself from the children because of it. So, in a sense, he understood what was going on with himself, but he wanted to leave because he for the betterment of the family. Right.

And wow, that's amazing.

It was, and that was kind of unusual to be honest.

SPEAKER_01 23:25

But that shows you perspective. In her perspective, he abandoned them, in his perspective, he gave up his family so that he could protect them.

SPEAKER_00 23:33

And I think he'd been past now for probably about 10-15 years, and sh he wanted her to know, they never had a relationship after that, but he wanted her to know that uh the moment he passed, he was able obviously he's in perfect health, of course, and also in spirit, you get to see kind of what the purpose of life is, of what you've experienced, of course, and lessons that can be learned by all, okay? But he was the moment he passed, he had been with her, you know, kind of behind the scenes, in a sense, making up for lost time of things he didn't get to experience. And he wanted her to know that I, you know, I'm I'm a change man, I'm you know, cured, I'm healthy, and I would really like for you to, you know, be open. They they never say I want you to do this. Right. Just in a sense, be open if you ever want to say hi to me, or just to let you know, you know, just a thought toward me my way, that I would appreciate it.

Well, that and that's that that's what's amazing, is just hearing the story at first, like I would think, oh, he abandoned his family.

Right.

SPEAKER_01 24:43

But in her perspective, that's how it was. But then hearing his side of the story, that's kind of how it is once you pass into spirit, you get the other side of the story. I never would have thought that he left because he wanted to protect the family. You thought he was selfish, he was just hooked on drugs, he couldn't do it.

And you know what's something but you know what this was that's one example. There's been lots of examples where it has been that, where the selfishness and things like that. And those spirits too would also want to make up for lost time. Of course. And the bottom line is with her, she was, you know, crying throughout, and she said, you know, definitely she would be open because of what she heard. She would be open to, you know, in a sense, connecting, maybe even building upon a relationship that can still continue.

Right. And that's that's what's so awe-inspiring to me when when we learn, we learn from each and every reading that you do. And I'm glad we can pass this on to people because just like I said, I would have thought this the the the other thing. And then everybody has a reaction differently, and now it's caused healing for her, which is unbelievable.

It's that probably after decades of no, no, no, it's kind of changed her a little bit, and now she's open to that, which makes her dad's job in heaven a lot easier.

Well, and that it does actually, because when somebody's open to a loved one in spirit, that's when the connection can even become stronger by noticing them and feeling them and so forth. So it's again a spirit can do, but so much but people here have to also do their part, whether to to you know accept the connection and be open for a connection with a loved one in spirit. Yeah. And so that again, those are kind of some of the basic things that we uh have learned throughout the years of our system. We want to keep it.

Of course, of course. We just want to give the basics as yes, there's an afterlife, yes, it's around us. Don't ever think of heaven as being a million miles away or somewhere in the sky. No, it's if it's right in always say stick your arm out, it's right there in front of you. Right. And that those in spirit that they continue to always be a part of your life. And what else, Kathy?
